HP iPAQ 614

April 4th, 2008

HP’s iPAQ 614 Business Navigator features a 3.0-megapixel camera, 2.8-inch TFT display, a Marvell PXA270 processor (520-MHz), 256MB ROM, 128MB RAM, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, microSD memory card slot, GPS, Bluetooth 2.0, and USB connectivity.

The new HP iPAQ 614 is a combines everything a businessperson needs. It is very fast, and since it offers a few navigation solutions, you are able to choose the one that fits you best. Unfortunately, its speakerphone is unusable and the sound quality during a talk is not the best, but it can be adjusted via an external wireless device

Samsung Ace

March 29th, 2008

samsung_ace.jpg

Samsung’s Ace Smartphone features a 2.3-inch display, 1.3-megapixel camera, 192MB ROM, 96MB RAM, microSD card slot, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 connetivity, and a QWERTY keypad. Click more to watch a video.

As we have come to expect from Samsung the build quality is top notch. While we did not care for the keyboard, those with small hands and fingers may appreciate the narrowness. For those looking for a Windows Mobile world phone the Ace is a good bet, though we don’t expect it will steal many sales from the BlackBerry 8830.

BlackBerry 9000

March 28th, 2008

blackberry_1.jpg

The BlackBerry 9000 features a 624-MHz Intel XScale PXA270 processor, 1GB of memory, 480 x 320 display, 2.0-megapixel camera, GPS, and Wi-Fi. No word yet on pricing. Click more to see additional pictures.

The phone’s lines seem flow really well (dare we call a BlackBerry “sexy”?) without losing its purpose-suited stance exuded by the 8300s, 8700s, and 8800s of yore. The real kicker, though, might be the beautiful user interface, which has been totally revamped from the ground up; gone is the cartoonish look and feel of the current lineup, replaced with a modern, warm theme with wireframe icons and slick animations
