While largely steering clear of the limelight, Android managed to make the occasional cameo at CTIA last week, including a prominent presence at Qualcomm. PC Magazine checked out a very fresh build of the platform running on some weird, giant, prehistoric-looking prototype handset running Qualcomm’s MSM7201 silicon, but be cool — the phone certainly won’t see the light of day looking anything like this, and more importantly, it runs Quake at a nice clip

Nokia has just announced the WiMAX version of the Nokia N810. It features a 4.13-inch WVGA display, 400MHz TI OMAP 2420 processor, 256MB ROM, 128MB RAM, miniSD/microSD card slots, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, and a built-in webcam. Click more for a video.

Well is the U9 worth getting? If you like it, the answer is definitely YES. We are in love with its outer appearance and are with mixed feelings only about the black on the inside. However, it surely looks cool in the grey color variant of the phone, which is for the gentlemen.

The feature set seems to be squarely targeted at the consumer, but the price sure ain’t — the phone is launching in Korea starting at 700,000 KRW and ramping up to 800,000 KRW ($700 to $800 US).

Sure hope you weren’t counting on getting your palms around Meizu’s oh-so-familiar M8 anytime soon, as it now looks like the handset may not even be available to purchase until mid-next year…those still willing to wait this one out will apparently be paying even more than previously expected

The Nokia Morph concept uses nanotechnology “based flexible materials, transparent electronics and self-cleaning surfaces.” No word yet on pricing and availability.

These materials should enable Nokia to produce a mobile device that “…might be stretchable and flexible, allowing the user to transform their mobile device into radically different shapes”.
